How To Make Delicious Masala Mutton Karahi


  • Mutton – 500 gms (small pieces)
  • G/ Garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  • Cooking oil – half a cup
  • Special Masala – 1 tsp
  • Dry fenugreek leaves – ½ teaspoon
  • Yogurt – 250 grams
  • Ginger – 1-inch piece
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Green chilies – 5 pcs
  • Small green chilies – 5 pcs finely chopped
  • Kashmiri Paprika – 125 gms
  • Whole Red Chillies – 125 gms
  • Mace – 1 tbsp
  • Long Chilli – 1 tsp
  • Cumin – 100 grams
  • Star Fennel – 3 to 4 pcs
  • Cloves – 5 to 6 pcs
  • Green Cardamom – 8 to 10 pcs
  • Dry Coriander – 4 tbsp pcs

Fry all the mentioned spices one by one in a pan and grind them well. Store them in an airtight jar. These spices can be used in any curry.

METHOD To Make Delicious Masala Mutton Karahi

  • Boil the mutton pieces well till done.
  • Now heat oil in a pan and add mutton. Fry on high flame until the mutton turns brown.
  • Add chopped green chilies and garlic ginger paste. Fry it well for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Blend the curd a little and add to the pan.
  • Then add salt and special masala and fry on high flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add fenugreek leaves and whole green chilies and cook till the oil appears as a separate layer.
  • Now garnish the karahi with ginger flakes and serve with hot tandoori naan.
